Something about me feels different lately. There's a feeling of unraveling from within.
It may be because I'm working at letting go.
During meditation a couple weeks ago, I heard the words,
Let go. The words repeated themselves a couple times and then stopped. It was almost too simple to pay any attention, but when I considered it, I knew what it was referring to. My tendency to hang on--to try to maintain control over.
Letting go isn't easy for me, because I always think I'm right.
And that my partner is wrong.
It hasn't been easy, but I did it.
I stopped trying to run the show in many seemingly inconsequential ways.
Since then, I've begun to feel much more peaceful.
My partner even remarked about how calm I seem.
So, when I catch myself taking a strangle-hold again--or attempting to steer someone in a certain direction (the one I think best, of course) I hope I remember to cease and desist.
It feels much better to
let it all go again.
