Five women spent a glorious, colorful, doll-filled three days with elinor peace bailey in hometown Moro. The most outrageous and colorfully dressed woman in the photos below are elinor, herself. A lively, inspiring teacher, doll artist and friend. This was her second three day doll workshop in our small town. We each left, filled to the brim with ideas, patterns and materials to make at least a dozen more dolls.
Originally, twelve signed up to attend the workshop, but due to various and sundry emergencies, the group dwindled to only us few: Lisa, Donna, Kathy, Kim (from Redmond) and myself. However, we bravely managed to eat all the food (meant for a dozen) and to enjoy every moment we spent together and in elinor's company. What we lacked in numbers, we made up for in noise and color. We missed our friends, though, who would have been with us.
The first day, Lisa suggested we all wear creative hats, so we could join elinor in her bright and colorful way. It was fun to see how elinor outshone the rest of us in her usual costume type dress from day to day. Below are a few photos of the workshop.
