Saturday Doll Club

At last, the four of us Doll Clubbers convened at Lisa's new location for the day. We've been unable to meet for the past several months, due to the fact that Lisa was moving her shop and lots of bad weather and roads. It took us awhile to rev up our engines again and start working on whatever doll we'd been letting go to seed over the winter.
Kathy is the one picture here, worked on putting the limbs and head on her Deanna Hogan pattern. At this point, her dolly stands on her own and wears cute little tenny runners for shoes. Jane continued painting her first Viola Ruth doll's face. Lisa started on a funny-faced angel (which I forgot to take a photo of), and I'm still working on those blasted wooden legs of my own to-be-tipsy-angel pattern. (No photo either). The cute Santa in pajamas is Lisa's, which is yet another of Deanna Hogan's patterns.

Last fall, Lisa issued a challenge and gave each club member a sack with some funky fabric, a small martini glass and a few other doo dads. I'll add an update and photos as we progress. (and I remember to use my camera!!!) But at least we've all begun again, which feels great after this long, dreary winter. Sure signs of a dollclub in fine form were noted at Lisa's in Stitches yesterday: lots of giggling and laughter; plenty of bawdy body talk; (Ooo look at this one's saggy boobs. . Take a gander at the nose on this one.. . . . .etc...); and above all. . a good recharging of the old creative engines. We're off and running again. . . . .finally. . . .

Yippy! Doll club is always so good for stirring those creative juices. How about some pix of Lisa's new shop?
