Alone

Living alone. . .
Someone should "bottle the experience" and sell it as the rare treasure that it is. After living in some kind of community or with a husband or partner all my life, I'm only now beginning to taste the luxury of having time completely to myself.

Initially, I resisted. Floundered about and panicked a bit. Felt the urgency to telephone someone at least once a day. Now I enjoy rattling around by myself; puttering at my many hobbies; watching a DVD or reading a book; or just plain sitting and gazing at the beauty and wildlife on the river. I'm discovering that the best company in all of my world is my very own sweet self.
