I took a stab at the tree again in watercolor. Rather muddy, in spite of the color palate. Overworked for watercolor, but fun. Felt like a kid and let myself use whatever color I fancied, rather than what’s “sposed” to be.
This one-a-day project is nailing my feet to the ground. Keeping me from taking off just to be going somewhere, where I usually end up spending money on something I don’t need. Art's a good discipline.
While painting, a small gathering of ducks conglomerated at the edge of a pier upriver. As if to consult one another about what route to take next. Discussing the pros and cons of water travel versus air. Too bad they’ve disappeared behind a tree so I won’t know the final outcome. Water or air? Even ducks have to decide now and then.
